Wood and the Wire is purely acoustic evening of song, music, verse and prose. The events are to showcase the talents of local singers, songwriters, musicians, poets and speakers of all ages and abilities. Music ranges from Folk, Jazz, and Classical, right the way through to Southern Rock and Country and Western. Many of the performers write their own material. Readings of poetry, self penned recitations and even a sonnet to a loved one.

What to do when you arrive

• When you arrive let the guys in charge know who you are and what you want to do,

• To keep things moving along each performer is limited to only one song, Poem etc. Depending on how many performers there are, will dictate how many turns you have.

• Wait until you are asked up to perform.

• As this is a totally unplugged event, everyone is requested to remain quiet during performances

All we ask is, lots of applause, encouragement and respect to the performers.
